4J and 3I's Joint Collaboration
4J and 3I have teamed up to collaborate on the SOLE project. We are very excited to continue this journey together. Each class had brainstormed many exciting ideas but we narrowed it down to two magnificent projects! We noticed there was an issue with rubbish around the school. We wanted to encourage them to use the bins more regularly so we decided to transform our dull green bins into exciting character inspired bins. 4J have decided to go with a superhero theme whilst 3I couldn't go past Olaf.
Our second project is to add a tyre garden around one of the trees on our back oval. We think this will be a great addition to our school environment. Not only will it brighten our school, we can also grow our mini herb garden.
We presented our ideas to our school principal who approved it. We are very excited to start on our project. Here is our presentation to our school principal.
3I's bin transformation in action
During the last two weeks of term 3, 3I broke into two groups. One group began work on transforming our rubbish bin whilst the other group continued to research plants for our garden. Once the students were given their Olaf templates, they were ready to trace them onto the bin. They took turns to trace the template, paint Olaf and the background and then added the finishing touches by outlining in black paint.
